Cooper Test.
Measure the distance an athlete can cover in 12 minutes of continuous running. Use the completed distance to estimate aerobic capacity and establish a repeatable endurance baseline.
Test Protocol
Standardised 12-minute continuous running procedure
The Cooper Test is a 12-minute continuous running assessment. The athlete aims to cover as much distance as possible during the fixed 12-minute period while maintaining a sustainable high effort. The test is most useful when performed on a measured, flat course with clear distance markers and consistent conditions.
The primary result is the total distance completed in metres during the 12-minute test. Estimated VO₂ max is calculated from that distance using the Cooper field-test equation: VO₂ max = (distance − 504.9) ÷ 44.73. The estimate is a field prediction and should not be treated as a direct laboratory measurement.

Where this test fits in the platform
The Cooper Test creates a repeatable aerobic endurance baseline. The result can eventually connect with athlete profiles, historical testing, training recommendations and long-term performance tracking.
